Ok folks, this is how to do it! 🤗💛
We need to use the metric system for these conversions to keep all numbers on the same platform i.e. mg, mL, tsp, Tbsp, C, etc…
!NEEDS:
– Metric system
– Local Honey (16oz is what I use)
– 1000mg THC RSO (or CBD)
– x1Small Saucepan
– x1 Bowl to Cool
– Small Empty bottle(s) preferably glass w/ air lids
To start take a look at the back of your RSO and find the THC percentage. Let’s say *86.78%*
Once you found that move the decimal point one place to the right. *867.8mg*
This gives you the true strength of THC in that syringe.
Now, convert the honey into Cups.
**THE NUMBER ON THE FRONT OF THE BOTTLE IS NET WT. CHANGE TO METRIC UNITS!
So, look at the nutritional facts on the back of the bottle to get the *servings per bottle* and it’ll give the Tbsp*.
In mine 16oz = 22Tbsp which equals 1.375 Cups. Divide the THC by the number of cups you plan to Infuse.
16oz = 22Tbsp = 1.375c
867.8mg/1.375 = 631.12mg per cup
631.12mg/48tsp (1 cup) = 13.14mg per tsp
To check multiply your tsp dosage by how many tsp are in 1.375 Cups and BOOM
867.8mg back at where we started so we know our math is right.
INFUSE:
¹- Warm Syringe in warm water
²- Warm Saucepan on Low/med heat (#2-3 on my stove)
³- Pour honey in Saucepan
⁴- Squeeze Entire Syringe in pan
⁵- Stir for 10 mins to evenly distribute
⁶- Empty Mixture in separate bowl to let cool or leave in pan and let cool.
⁷- Pour Honey RSO into your respective containers and 🏷 with dosage info for your continued therapy.
*If you plan to have these long term, before you cap your jars of DIY RSO HONEY, cover the top with cling wrap then screw your top on and ✂️ This will keep your goodies from becoming crystallized over long periods of storage.
